About William
I have been a working professional session musician, composer, orchestrator, and sound designer for 38 years, beginning in college. I spent ten years working as a musician and arranger for the Walt Disney Company before moving on to work in television and film as a ghost-writer and composer's assistant for numerous composers.
In addition, I have been a composer, sound designer, and audio director in the gaming industry for 24 years, having written music and designed sound for over 250 games.
I have written music for numerous stock and library music publishers, production companies and agencies, and have had my music featured on Lifetime, Hallmark Channel, Disney, ABC, FX and many others.
I have taught workshops, classes, and privately for over 20 years and designed teaching curriculums for composition, orchestration, music theory, music history, film music, and music production.

I teach a comprehensive and organic philosophy that focuses on building a solid foundation while allowing the student to explore the paths that interest them.
A typical lesson plan consists of first evaluating not just where the student is at in their journey, but more importantly, determining their goals.
From there we work to customize a curriculum that allows them to acquire the tools necessary to achieve those goals and be fulfilled in their musical life.
These will include:
- an understanding of the fundamentals of music and sound
- establishing a foundation of knowledge and technique upon which to build
- developing and expanding listening skills
- application of practical and advanced practices in theory, composition, harmony, arranging and orchestration
- understanding, mastery, and use of technology in music in today's world
Music is a language. It does not need to be difficult or intimidating. Learning it is simply a process broken down into small actionable steps.
I endeavor to create lesson plans that are tailored to the individual student and meet them at whatever level they are, in order to create the best possible outcome for attaining their goals.
