About Maeve
I am a fun-loving and passionate teacher of English with a deep desire to ensure students are able to grasp the fundamentals of the language. I use visual, auditory, and kinesthetic methods to help students adapt to their individual learning style. Teaching is something that gives me great joy and I delight in seeing the results of my efforts.

I have significant experience teaching adults IELTS, TESL etc for gaining work visas to Australia. I have a Cert IV in TSL and I am also an accredited teacher in speech and drama from the Trinity College, London, in addition to having a Bachelor of Business degree from Deakin University. My teaching methods focus on speaking, listening, reading and writing and I work both with individuals and small groups. My typical lessons are one hour long. I use themed lessons based on everyday practical scenarios e.g. visits to the doctor, supermarket, getting to known the neighbourhood and community and special festivals, traditional and Aussie holidays. Grammar, syntax, dialogues etc are included within these themes as relevant.
