Hello! I'm a passionate and patient academic tutor with over six years of experience supporting university students at undergraduate, master's, and PhD levels in thesis and dissertation writing, critical academic writing, research design and development, and argument development. I am currently completing a PhD in Agroecology and Food Sovereignty, with a strong academic background in social sciences, humanities, and interdisciplinary research. I understand first-hand the pressures of academic life and how overwhelming writing can feel. Whether you're just starting your dissertation or refining your final draft, I will guide you step by step with clarity, structure, and encouragement. My goal is not only to help you succeed in your assignments but to build your confidence and independence as a thinker and writer. You can expect tailored support, timely feedback, and a professional tutoring experience grounded in both academic expertise and genuine care for your progress. I bring a warm, supportive, and results-oriented approach to help you unlock your academic potential and gain confidence in your writing.

I take a student-centred, flexible, and confidence-building approach to tutoring. Every learner is unique, so I adapt my teaching style to meet your specific needs, goals, and academic background. Whether you're writing your first university essay, developing a postgraduate dissertation, or refining your PhD thesis, I aim to create a supportive space where your thinking can develop and your writing can flourish. My teaching is grounded in critical thinking, structured guidance, and clear feedback. I focus on helping students understand the "why" behind academic conventions—not just what to write, but how and why academic writing works the way it does. Here’s how I typically support students: • Break down large tasks (like dissertations or theses) into manageable stages • Teach academic structure (introductions, arguments, analytical frameworks, theory, conclusions, transitions) • Enhance critical analysis and the ability to build strong, critical arguments • Support with referencing, citations, and academic integrity • Give constructive, clear feedback that builds skills and confidence • Help students edit, proofread, and refine their work for clarity, tone, and logic I also provide practical resources (templates, planners, and reading frameworks) that students can continue using after our sessions. • Most of my lessons are 60–90 minutes, depending on the student's needs and attention span. • For in-depth dissertation or thesis support, longer sessions (90 mins) work well. • Shorter check-in or feedback sessions (30–45 mins) are available upon request. Qualifications & Experience • Currently pursuing a PhD in Agroecology, Food Sovereignty, and Resilience at Coventry University • Hold an MSc with Distinction in Agroecology, Water, and Food Sovereignty • Over 6 years of experience mentoring and tutoring university students across disciplines • Experienced in qualitative research methods, academic writing, critical theory, and participatory methodologies • Have delivered academic workshops, supervised student research, and co-organised academic conferences Who My Lessons Are For I tutor: • Undergraduate and postgraduate students in any discipline requiring critical academic writing • PhD students seeking feedback on structure, coherence, and clarity in their thesis • Mature students and international students who need help navigating UK academic expectations • Students writing essays, dissertations, theses, research papers, or preparing for viva exams Whether you're looking to polish your writing, develop a stronger argument, or get unstuck from writer’s block—I’m here to help.
