My approach is personalised, structured and results-focused, with every lesson tailored to the individual student’s ability, goals and learning style. I combine clear explanations with targeted practice, exam-style questions, active recall and effective revision strategies, helping students build confidence, independence and strong exam technique rather than simply memorising content.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although the format can be adapted for younger pupils or students preparing for specific examinations. I am an experienced academic with over 18 years of teaching and research experience at world-leading UK universities, and I bring this academic expertise into every lesson in a supportive, encouraging and engaging way.
I work with students preparing for 11+ and 13+ entrance examinations, GCSE and A-Level Biology, as well as ambitious pupils aiming for top schools and top universities. Parents can expect a thoughtful, high-standard approach focused not only on improving grades, but also on developing the confidence, study habits and academic skills that help students succeed long term.
Tina: Every student begins at a different point, so I identify strengths, gaps and priorities early and build a clear learning plan around them. My aim is for parents to see genuine progress and for students to become confident, capable learners who know how to perform at their best.
