About Derek
My name is Derek Simon, and I’m an English and drum tutor who is passionate about helping students learn in a simple and enjoyable way. I decided to start teaching because I understand how difficult and intimidating it can be to learn something new, especially without the right support. Through my own journey of improving my English and developing my drumming skills, I discovered that learning becomes much easier when it’s taught step by step and in a relaxed environment. That’s why I want to help students build confidence, not just skills, whether it’s speaking English more fluently or playing their first song on the drums. Teaching is important to me because I enjoy seeing students grow, improve, and feel proud of what they can achieve.

I’m an English and drum tutor who focuses on helping beginners improve quickly in a fun and stress-free way. For English, I help students build confidence in speaking and improve their exam performance by using simple, practical methods instead of complicated theory. For drums, I guide students step by step so they can play their first full song within just a few lessons, even with no prior experience. My lessons are personalized based on each student’s level, and I always aim to make learning enjoyable and easy to follow. I also offer a trial class so you can experience my teaching style before committing, and I provide extra notes or practice materials to help you improve faster.
