About Anna
Hello, I am an experienced primary classroom and relief teacher. I am a mother of two children (5 & 7) whom I home educate. I love to teach math to young children and I know that students are most invested in learning when they have a positive relationship with their teacher. Hence, this is also a focus in my teaching!

I specialize in teaching math and especially love to help young children gain a sense of number by using concrete materials to develop deep thinking and make connections. When I take on a new student, I begin by conducting an assessment - using concrete materials - so that I get to know them and their mathematical understandings. I then design the next lessons based on the student's current understanding and the next skills to be learned. My teaching is aligned with the Australian curriculum.
I will give feedback to parents regularly as well as offer things to do at home.
