About Navaratnarajah
Having worked as an Assistant Lecturer and a Lecturer in Srilanka for three years (2001-2004) and a demonstrator, a tutor and a research fellow/associate/officer for the last 10 years in the UK (Oxford, Bath, Nottingham, University College London, Imperial College London and Coventry) and A level chemistry tutor for the last 10 years, I would like to teach chemistry for GCSE, A level and Undergraduate levles.
I am currently working as a research fellow in the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Computing (Faculty Research Centre: Future Transport and Cities) at Coventry University and in the Faculty of Engineering at Imperial College London.
Education/Qualifications: I graduated with a First Class Honours degree (Chemistry and Pure Mathematics and Applied Mathematics) from Jaffna University, Sri Lanka in 2001. In 2004, I was awarded a full international postgraduate scholarship (Felix Scholarship) from the University of Oxford to read for a D.Phil. degree in Computational Quantum Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Jennifer. C. Green. I am currently an active member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and a life member of the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon. I had several memberships from professional bodies including the Institute of Nanotechnology, Institute of Chemistry Ireland, Chartered Chemist of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute Inc and American Nano Society. I completed a teacher training course in 2002 in Srilanka during probationary period the Lectureship position.
