About James
I read English and Drama at the City of Birmingham University. I have been tutoring in English since 2016. I am adept at iimproving students' performance and confidence. I have a proven track record at 11+ and GCSE. Virtually all my students exceed their predicted grade.
My approach to education aligns perfectly with the word's etymology. I regard teaching as drawing out the latent potential within the student "educere" rather stuffing them with facts.
I have a passion for literature ,theatre classical music , philosophy and history. I have taught for many years and have also been involved in many theatrical productions.

My approach depends entirely on the needs of the student. I am always very relaxed . If a client needs coaching for an exam in six weeks time, I can adopt a laser-like focus to the dictates of the process. Equally if a student is eager to improve his or her command of the language, we can follow a more wide ranging and spontaneous programme. I have a proven track record in improving students exam performance , confidence and ability and a high level of expertise in literature ,grammar and exam technique .

James has been teaching my children for four and half years now. He is very reliable and will always help you if you need support. Since he has been teaching my kids their standards has went up. James has good patience and good communicate with his students and willing explain until you are understand.
