About Prabhav

I am an ICAEW qualified Chartered Accountant and a London Business School alumnus, with professional experience in accountancy, finance and business advisory. My work requires precision, analytical thinking and clear communication all of which I bring directly into my tutoring. I believe in being structured, prepared and professional, while also ensuring that students feel comfortable asking questions and thinking independently.

Outside of my professional life, I have always valued balance. I am passionate about sport particularly football, tennis and badminton, which has taught me discipline, consistency and the importance of steady improvement over time. I also play the guitar and enjoy photography, both of which allow me to be creative and patient in a different way. These interests keep me grounded and approachable, and they remind me that progress, whether in music, sport or academics, comes from focused practice and the right guidance.

I understand that when a student or parent chooses a tutor, they are placing trust in both the person and their expertise. I take that responsibility seriously. My approach is structured, organised and professional. Lessons are prepared in advance, tailored to the relevant exam board or qualification, and focused on delivering measurable improvement. Beyond qualifications, I bring real-world commercial insight into my teaching. I help students not only understand how to answer exam questions effectively, but also how the concepts apply in practice. This deeper understanding builds confidence, reduces exam anxiety and strengthens long-term retention.

Students often perform best when they feel at ease, not intimidated. While I maintain high standards and professionalism, I am equally friendly, supportive and encouraging. My aim is to be someone students respect for their expertise, but also feel comfortable learning from a qualified professional who understands that confidence is built through clarity, patience and consistency.

My Approach to Tutoring
I don’t believe in memorising mark schemes and hoping for the best. My approach is built around clarity, structure and exam confidence.

As an ICAEW Chartered Accountant and a London Business School alumnus, I’ve spent years understanding not just the technical side of accountancy and business, but how to think commercially and analytically. That’s what I bring into my lessons.

- How I Teach

1) Concept First, Then Application: I make sure you properly understand the “why” behind the topic before we move to exam-style questions. Once the foundation is clear, exam technique becomes much easier.

2) Exam-Focused Strategy: I teach you how marks are awarded, how to structure answers efficiently, and how to avoid common mistakes that cost easy marks.

3) Real-World Context: Especially in Business and Economics, I use practical examples from industry and real companies to make theory intuitive and memorable.

4) Active Learning: Lessons are interactive. I ask questions, test understanding regularly, and adapt the pace depending on where you’re struggling.

- Qualifications & Professional Background
I am an ICAEW qualified Chartered Accountant with professional experience in risk advisory, financial reporting and business analysis. As a London Business School alumnus, I bring both technical expertise and commercial perspective to my teaching. Alongside my professional career, I have mentored trainees and supported colleagues through their professional exams, giving me strong insight into how students learn complex financial and business concepts.

I tutor GCSE and A-Level students in Accountancy, Economics and Business Studies, university students studying finance or business-related degrees, and professional qualification candidates such as ICAEW or ACCA students.
