About Samuel
After 10 years working in financial services, I took the choice to retrain as a teacher in two subjects I love, History and Politics. Juggling my job, my kids, my degree and now my PGCE studies/placements is difficult, but it shows that with application, organisation and a love for your subjects, great results are possible. I was really proud to win the Julie Ann Statham Prize awarded to the graduating student who has the best performance at Levels 2 and 3 in any combination of History and Politics.

Focus on exam technique and use of CCEA Mark Schemes to focus student's study. Guiding pupils to help them in the creation of their own revision materials which can taken and applied to a broad range of subjects. Use of tailored online activities such as WordWall, Kahoot and Canva which pupils can access at any time to help with recall and retention.
Now on my second placement of my PGCE. This has allowed me to add GCSE History and LLW to my experience of A-level and GCSE Government and Politics.
