About Afrida
I am an aspiring medic, currently studying my A-levels and have successfully completed my GCSE's scoring grades 7-9 in GCSE sciences and history. I am a passionate individual who is always willing to lend a helping hand. I enjoy working with students from younger years to help develop their knowledge through school mentoring, academic clubs in the library or private tutoring. I am ambitious in achieving my goals which makes me eager to ensure my students achieve theirs.

I teach using presentations and notes I have created that have successfully got me top GCSE grades in Sciences, Mathematics and History. I alter my teaching style to what makes the student comfortable and willing to understand what is being taught. My lessons are engaging, and educational with starter questions to test previous knowledge, the actual lesson and exam practice at the end. I also set homework to ensure students keep practising what is being taught and if they struggle with anything I will be sure to explain it in the next lesson. I typically teach 1-2 hour lessons depending on the student and their needs. I have been tutoring for almost 2 years and have helped multiple students achieve grade 8's and 9's from average grades of 5's and 6's. I teach GCSE students from year 9 to year 11 (age: 13/14-16).
