C is often seen, especially by beginners, as an impossible language to learn. But don't worry, you are in the right hands. You will very soon start programming with great ease and become comfortable enough to write really complex programs.
Before I became proficient in the C language, I used to think no beginning programmer can successfully understand C and write any real-world software with it. I even searched the web for other people's experiences with C and their recommendations for beginners. What I found, coupled with my own failed personal attempts at learning C, convinced me that indeed C was not a language for beginners. Many posts on quora advised that rather than waste time trying to learn C, it was better to learn other higher-level and "more modern" programming languages.
But when I resolved to learn and understand C, I soon found strong reasons to be happy that I even developed interest in the language. No doubt, it was not easy for me, but that was because I was learning on my own. All I had to assist me were tutorials, reference books and a computer to try out some code snippets. There was no one I could ask questions, no one to offer explanations that I could not find in the books. So I stumbled along entirely on my own until it all began to make sense. I could identify foundation ideas and gradually understand the basic concepts of software development. I made lots of mistakes, but now I am happy I made and learned a great deal from those mistakes.
Today, 7 years from my first forage into C programming, I program like the experts do. I contribute useful posts about C on many websites and programming groups. I designed and implemented a powerful object-oriented language entirely in C, a language I called Swill. I wrote an Artificial Intelligence application that can chat reasonably well (though not perfectly, yet) with humans. I also wrote a simple computer operating system (OS) which I called Serosbus. These are large and complex projects running into thousands of lines of C code.
Seven years ago, I would never have imagined such achievements, because I believed C was impossible to learn, just like you also probably think right now. So, relax and allow me ease you into my vast ocean of experience and knowledge in the C programming language. I can't make a complete list of what I will teach you, but trust me, you will be so well equipped that you can write any program of whatever complexity successfully. C is a language for the diligent and daring programmer --- or rather, C makes you a diligent and daring programmer.
