About Eve
I’m from South-East London where I went to a state school that didn’t provide much help with revision at all. Because I also struggle with exam anxiety, I found exam preparation very overwhelming and receiving tutoring throughout this time was key in my success in my exams. I’d like to now be the tutor to help students!

I understand that different schools teach different exam boards and may cover topics in a different order. Although I studied the Edexcel specification at both GCSE and A-Level, I have familiarised myself with the requirements and marking criteria of all the major exam boards, so I am confident tutoring students regardless of which specification they are following.
My lessons primarily focus on exam technique, exam practice, and revision strategies, as I believe these are the areas where a tutor can make the biggest difference alongside classroom teaching. We'll work through past paper questions, refine exam technique, and identify any gaps in understanding. Of course, if there are particular topics that need teaching or revisiting, I'm more than happy to cover these too. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to suit each individual's needs and goals!
Revision can often feel overwhelming, especially when it's difficult to know where to start. I'll help students create an effective revision plan, provide practice questions and revision tasks, and offer regular encouragement and accountability. Sometimes having someone to guide you, test your knowledge, and keep you on track can make all the difference. Sessions will be typically one hour long and, ideally, take place at least once a week to build consistent progress.
Experience: I have several years of tutoring experience through Kumon, where I taught Maths and English to students of different ages and abilities. I also had online tutors myself throughout my GCSEs and A-Levels, so I understand what makes tutoring effective from both the tutor's and the student's perspective. Having experienced a variety of teaching styles, I know how important it is to tailor lessons to each individual student.
Qualifications:
GCSE = 9
A-Level = A*
University = Biological Anthropology at Cambridge (where I’m writing essays at a high standard every week).
