In my brief experience tutoring, I've only taught a handful of students, however, never in a formal student teacher setting.
This usually took form in assisting first years with course content related queries, during my time at uni. This was achieved by my reperesenting the school of biological sciences, as a peer mentor

As a graduate of the IBMS (institution of biomedical sciences) accredited course in biomedical science, I have been exposed and expected to learn and comprehend degree level biology and chemistry.
Maths also featured in my course, up to and including differentiation and integration, on top of my already stamding full A level in maths qualifacation
When teaching i tend to be the type to lead you to answers, with nudges in the right direction, as opposed to flat out spoon feeding. I feel this creates a longer lasting imprwssions within our memories when "the penny drops"
