About Courtney
Courtney Shelton has a B.A. in Philosophy from Trinity University and an M.S. in English Education from the University of Tennessee. Courtney has over 25 years of teaching experience, instructing clients of all ages and backgrounds. Courtney has been accepted into writing seminars such as Bread Loaf, Iowa, Sewanee, and Hollins, was awarded instructor of the year her third year of teaching and named the most influential teacher in The Kansas City Star. At Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy, Courtney’s A.P. class scores were the highest in the school, and her non-A.P. students excelled by being exposed to a nearly identical curriculum. As a college counselor, Courtney created an entire college counseling program, wrote a 40-page college handbook, and guided students toward acceptance by top-tier schools.
