About Megan

I am an ESOL teacher who is holds a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese and have experience teaching English in Japan, in New Zealand and online. I'm currently have a CELTA qualification and a Certificate in ESOL Home Tutoring. I have a Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching.

About the lesson

Hello everyone, and thank you for visiting my page!

My name is Megan, and I’m from New Zealand. I am an experienced English educator currently living in Japan.

I love living in Japan—it’s been amazing to experience the culture, try new food, and learn the language. I’m also very interested in study techniques and language learning methods, so I often watch YouTube channels about how to learn more effectively. This helps me bring fresh ideas into my lessons.

In my free time, I enjoy cycling, bead art, and playing the guitar. These hobbies keep me active and creative, and sometimes I use them as fun conversation topics with my students.

In my lessons, I like to use the chat box feature a lot so you can see new words and corrections clearly as we speak. After the lesson, I provide feedback and notes to help with your revision and progress.

I offer English lessons that focus on conversation, confidence building, and practical communication skills. I always adapt to your learning style, whether you prefer casual conversation, grammar support, or exam preparation.

My students often tell me they feel more confident and notice real progress after just a few lessons. I believe learning should be enjoyable, relaxed, and encouraging.
