About Gerardus
I customize each lesson to the needs and personality of my clients. I have years of experience and have worked with students of all age groups, social situations and wide range of professions.
I have assisted students preparing their thesis, helped people prepare and improve their interview methods, worked on presentation outlines and delivery, and worked on situational work-related role plays that focus on common phrases as well as alternative language choices.
My style is generally more relaxed and I try to enjoy lessons with my clients by adding some humor and keeping things light without losing focus of the ultimate goal you have set.

I have extensive experience in customizing one on one lessons to help clients improve their English for social and business situations.
Initial contact will be to outline your goals, needs and expectations. Any materials or textbooks you wish to use can be discussed. Once we understand what you want to achieve, we will discuss a system of lesson approaches that will help you reach those goals.
Methods will involve building specific language suitable for required situations, practice in pronunciation and fluency, alternative options that provide additional choices that will vary in difficulty, nuance and tone. Then roleplay situations will be practiced to allow you time to practice and grow comfortable speaking and growing your confidence.
