About Frances
My name is Frances and I'm a teacher and tutor (ESL, English, Drama, Songwriting Teacher, Guitar and Piano) and am a musician, actor, model, and makeup artist who specializes in the creative approach to learning. Do you or your child struggle with making learning fun and accessible? That's where I thrive in bridging the gap and making learning fun but accomplishable. I received my BA in Drama and Women and Gender Studies, and have gone on to teach freelance/virtually in the areas of ESL, Drama, English, College Prep, Writing Workshops, Poetry, Junior High, High School, and University texts.

Welcome to my creative approach to English! We start with a check-in and whatever homework or task at hand is to tackle. If you are working on a paper or essay, we will discuss the topic, thesis, and plan of action and cover the skeleton or format of building that paper. Reading and writing begin with covering goals, so we begin by identifying them, and then tackle them one at a time. Humour is key. I maintain open communication to ensure the student is on the same page and is understanding the task. I finish the task and set a new task to work on for homework and send them on their way!
