About Megan
I am an environmental scientist, a graduate of the University of Guelph with a Bachelors of Environmental Sciences. I have also completed the Environmental Management and Assessment Post-Graduate Certificate from Niagara College. I have a background in all sciences, however I have a passion for ecology-based biology, earth sciences and geography.

My teaching methodology includes making lessons fun and relatable to real-world experiences. I believe concepts are easier to understand if you can fit them into the world surrounding you, which is why I love science! I am also a tutor who is patient, and is more than happy to take things slow. Getting the full picture and allowing time to fully grasp and idea is what leads to long-term learning in my opinion!
I like to start by understanding what the starting point of knowledge in a subject is. Review of topics and themes is very important for a refresh and to know where to begin, however we don't want to waste time re-teaching content that is already fully understood! We also don't want to skip ahead to too advanced topics, which is why baselining is so important!
Overall, my tutoring/teaching style is relatable, fun, and set by the pace of the student! My goal is to make learning less frustrating and more inspiring.

My rate is dependent on the student's level. If in elementary school, it will be less. If in high school, depending on the grade and class level, I may charge elevated rates.
