About Sammi
I started learning hip hop in grade 8 because I was inspired by Just Dance 4 (a Wii game). When I started, I wasn't that great, but I was inspired by the desire to see progress. Eventually, dance helped me form a sense of identity in late elementary and early high school.
I started my own dance club in high school and ran it for 3 years, scaling the number of members, the leadership team, and our reach with performances. Since then, I am empowered by the sense of community and belonging that dance provides.
I hope to inspire in others the same sense of self-identity and safe space that dance gave to me.

Lessons for absolute beginners, beginner, and intermediate level dancers. You will receive direct feedback on things you are doing well + things you can improve on.
Usually, I stretch for a bit in the beginning, run over some grooves/foundations, and then teach choreography.
What sets me apart as a tutor? My versatility in dance training and ability to acutely sense where you are in your dance journey.
