About Phoebe
I am a second year History student at Royal Holloway, University of London. I have experience in being a GCSE History mentor whilst in Sixth form and in homeschooling a primary school aged child, during the COVID-19 pandemic. In both experiences, my guidance has lead to better attainment and understanding from these students who had previously struggled.

My teaching method is designed not to 'spoon-feed' students, but instead to engage them with their learning. I feel it is best to guide them through the tasks, asking the student questions as they go along, allowing for better retention of knowledge for when it comes to exams. Every student is different and this is why I believe it is best to be pragmatic when it comes to teaching, therefore I am adaptable to teaching methods to suit the student's needs.
