About Maria
Having moved to the United Kingdom last year I am settled and ready to meet new students who are interested in the French, Spanish and Greek languages. I am a highly motivated individual and together with my passion for languages, the tutoring opportunities I was fortunate to have during my studies in Cape Town, South Africa have given me a solid foundation on which to build upon. I have worked in an independent School in Harare, Zimbabwe where I taught Greek and French. In my lessons I used interactive boards as well as sound and images to allow for maximum student involvement. Placing the student at the centre of the classroom experience allows them to use their strengths to advance as well as identify their weak points which with assistance are strengthened. Maria has a fantastic understanding of Spanish and was therefore able to help me understand the language. She was very thorough in all the sections we covered using multiple examples and assigning homework that would allow me to test what I had learnt on my own. Maria was also able to find different ways to explain problems I was having when I couldn’t comprehend it a certain way and she managed to make all our lessons fun as well as informative. I can not recommend her enough!
