My first lesson I prefer to go over a past paper and find out which topics have been covered and which are weaker than others. This way I will not present unfamiliar topics and confuse students. As the lessons and teachings progress as do the topics we study. I do believe practice is perfect especially in mathematics - you cannot repeat things too many times when revising mathematics.
