About Carmel
I am a fully qualified English teacher with six years full time experience in both the state and private sector. I am currently teaching in an Independent Grammar school with knowledge of entrance exam requirements to local grammar schools. I have taught A Level and GCSE levels with students meeting or achieving above their target grades. I pride myself in creating engaging strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes for an individual as well as group of students.

My teaching consists of collaborative methods- encouraging students to learn from each other through coaching and developing communication skills. I also challenge students with more thought-provoking questions to encourage independent thinking. Through modelling successful answers, students should be able to achieve desired grades and outcomes in their written work (both comprehension as well as creative writing tasks).
