About Maya
I am currently a second year Ecological and environmental science student at the University of Edinburgh. I have a strong background in general science, maths and geography, with A grades in all my subjects, but specialise in biology. I am well read in other subjects and have a good general knowledge. I am fluent in German, having grown up bilingually

I aim to provide clear explanations for biological concepts in a non-judgemental and friendly manner. I am passionate about my subject and hope that my enthusiasm shows when I tutor. I will take into account different curricula and identify areas where more help is needed. My methodology would consist of the student telling me which areas they find confusing or need help understanding before the lesson. I will then talk through the concept or problem during the lesson with the student. Help with revision/exam techniques as well as working through homework problems together is also offered.
