About Maia
My qualifications include 3 A*'s in A-level Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics, and an A in As level Physics. I have also achieved a first in all my modules in my first year at University.
During sixth form I volunteered in a paired maths scheme where I tutored a girl, who struggled in maths, for a year and in my final year I supervised the whole scheme. I also attended homework clubs to help any students who needed it.
Furthermore I would help at open evenings, performing experiments and getting the children involved, to spark an interest in science and make it fun!

Hi, I'm a Biochemistry MSci student at the University of Birmingham. I am offering lessons in Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics, and can accommodate to any level up to, and including, A-level - whether you have just started from the basics and want to know more, or are currently doing your GCSE's or A-levels, I can help.
I'm a patient and understanding person who is enthusiastic about their subjects, and enjoys teaching others. I like to have a calm atmosphere when tutoring, as this way the student is comfortable enough to ask questions and say when they don't understand something. No one method of teaching works for everyone, therefore I can easily adapt my methods to suit you and help you learn in the most effective way.
