We start with warm-ups. Singing is like turning on a tap that hasn’t been used for a while — give it time to run before expecting clear water. It’s easy to become frustrated when your voice doesn’t immediately sound the way you want it to, but those first ten minutes are about patience, support and allowing the body to open up. The voice is a muscle. The more you use it, the more naturally and easily it responds — opening the door to a much greener garden of sound.
From there, we choose a song to work on. I’ll help you find more pleasure and easier access to the notes, using interesting exercises to help you get there. We’ll work on pitch and rhythm where needed, while paying attention to how the sound feels in your body — aiming for something free, connected and embodied rather than tight or rigid. The goal is not just to sing the notes, but to feel more at ease, expressive and connected to your voice.
