About Kayleigh
I am a trainee primary school (mainstream and specialist education) teacher who has worked as a Teaching Assistant for children with complex needs during a gap year between undergraduate and postgraduate studies. I provide fun and interactive support in common primary subjects. I will individually target learning sessions to meet areas of your child’s development which you feel require improvement, and will report on their development regularly to ensure you are confident that they are gaining something from my sessions. I have a full clean driving licence, and will require a small downstairs learning space.

As a primary teacher, I can plan lessons that develop your Childs knowledge in a way that is engaging and accessible to them. I have had a vast range of experience in teaching on a 1-2-1 and small group basis, and have a sensitive yet disciplined approach to engaging with students during their learning. I have a fun and interactive method of teaching and will tailor materials to suit the needs of each child. Children of primary age often retain information through hands on experience, and I actively seek opportunities to use games, music and symbols to ensure a full understanding and retention of the subject matter. I use standard “entry” and “exit” monitoring tools which allow me to gage the understanding of the subject matter before and after engaging with learning materials. This also allows you to monitor the progress of your child and highlight areas in which you feel still require some aspects of development.
