About Chloe
I am a final year English Literature with French student at Dundee University and I will start my Masters in English Studies in September. In my final year of secondary school I was a peer mentor in English where I helped younger students to improve their critical thinking and essay writing as well as building on their interpersonal skills. I have also volunteered at a local primary school during my time at university to assist with the teaching of French.
Through being a tutor I hope to provide a welcoming, approachable environment where I can pass on everything I have learned to younger students to ensure everyone can achieve what they are capable of!

I am a firm believer that every student learns differently and therefore requires a tailored approach to enhance their learning experience. Through discovering what kind of learner a student is, I can offer alternative methods to ensure maximum retention as well as enjoyment. I also strongly believe in listening to students to find out exactly what they want to gain from tutoring as well as what they wish to work on. This, in combination with positive reinforcement, hopefully creates an environment where no question is too silly and where students do not feel intimidated or stressed.
I am on track to receive a First Class Honours in English Literature with French and so I can offer tutoring up to Higher/A-Level English Lit, which can include anything from:
- critical thinking skills/textual analysis
- essay/portfolio planning and writing
- exam prep
- proofreading
