About Priya
Hi! I'm Priya, a student from London who is currently studying English at Cambridge University. I'm an academic tutor helping students who might love reading but struggle with English exams. Having achieved a Grade 9 in both GCSE English Literature and Language, as well as an A* in A-Level English Literature (during a pandemic!), I know my way around confusing exam requirements, and would love to help you flourish in this subject!

Lessons will typically last 60 minutes and will comprise active learning and question-based practice. For the first few lessons, I will usually provide a text or essay question from a sample paper (created by myself or from an exam board) and use this as a stimulus to encourage the student to produce an exam-style response. Through this process, I'll learn what concerns or problems the student is facing that we can address in more detail in a topic-based lesson.
Having achieved a Grade 9 and A* in GCSE and A-level English Literature respectively, I now volunteer as an academic tutor, coaching students to apply to Oxbridge. My lessons are therefore suitable for students aged 13-18, who are working at Grade 3-8 or B-D in English but wish to push themselves to the next level in this subject.
