About Louise
I have taught enshrined and English literature for 27 years, 10 as head of a busy secondary school department. I have excellent qualifications~ BA( Hons), PGCE , MA. I have taught English as a second language at summer school. I have also spent 20 years working for GCSE exam board AQA, as an examiner and Team Leader.

My approach to teaching hinges on getting to know my students and gaining their confidence. From that point I can assess their strengths and weaknesses - theyall have strengths.i will tailor my teaching to suit individuals and am always positive with feedback whist at the same time giving specific targets for progression and checking that is being addressed in their next piece of work. I think that sometimes if things aren’t progressing it is up to the teacher to adjust their methods- I believe in the individual.
