About Gary
When I was a child, I has a problem with English. I could not say certain sounds. The children would laugh at me in kindergarten. One day I came home from school and told my mother I was not going back to school. She had a conference with my teacher and together they found a solution. They got a speech therapist tutor for me. I spent a year working with the therapist and my mother learning how to pronounce word sounds. I became a tutor to help students learn English so they would not have problems in class. I have been tutoring students for the past 22 years.

I use the Wordly Wise manuals for vocabulary as well as reading books for discussion and pronunciation. Learning English should be fun. I use crossword puzzles and word association games also. My lessons are for both children (grades 2 through 12) and adults, especially foreign students (I have tutored children from South Korea, China, Turkey, and Japan). My classes are via the internet.
