About Jenny

Hi, my name is Jenny. I am an online tutor with 10 years of experiences teaching students of all ages and from all over the world. I am an immigrant to NZ from Taiwan, and I lived in Japan for 3 years. I speak English and Chinese Mandarin fluently, and I can have a short conversation in Spanish and Japanese. As a second language learner myself, I have experienced first hand what it is like to learn a new language and the challenges you face everyday.
With my Educational Psychology background, I specialize in student centered approach and authentic materials. I design classes unique to you and your learning needs only. I use teaching materials from everyday life, such as newspaper articles, advertisements, signs, movies and TV shows. I do not use textbooks because languages are not lifeless words. They are meant to be lived and used in daily lives!

Do you need to learn English for work, study or travel?
My name is Jenny and I am an online ESOL tutor with 7 years of experiences teaching students of all ages and from all over the world.
I use student centered approach and design class materials to suit your needs. This is to make sure you are motivated to learn what you want to learn and at the pace that suits you. I also use authentic materials from daily lives to make sure you can use the language you learnt everyday!
There are 2 types of classes you can choose from: Conversation and Topic. If you are only interested in practicing speaking English to improve your fluency, you will love the conversation classes. You can choose a short 30 min class for a quick practice or an 1 hour long class to dive into a topic.
If your goal is to improve all the skills or even prepare for exams, topic classes will be your best option. The classes are 1 hour long and are designed to suit your needs and levels.
