About Candice
I became a teacher to develop meaningful and authentic relationships with my students so I could help them boost their self-confidence and self-efficacy. I have devoted the best part of my life to improving my students' academic and social skills within and outside the classroom context. Teaching and tutoring are so incredibly rewarding and fulfilling and I absolutely love what I do for a living!

I have been privately tutoring English to primary and secondary-aged students for seven years, and I am a qualified HSIE teacher with two years of experience. My lessons are a minimum of 60 minutes in duration as I believe that is an ideal amount of time to work together and allow you to build the skills required to complete the homework that I set for you throughout the week.
I tutor all aged students from Year 3 all the way to HSC level in Standard and Advanced English. I also tutor Ancient History and Business Studies for Year 11 and 12 students.
I incorporate various teaching activities into my tutoring lessons by unpacking the questions, explaining the relevant content, and then modelling the writing process.
I implement the "I do, we do, you do" teaching model, as I believe my students learn best when the scaffolding has been provided for them to feel confident enough to complete the question independently.
Together, we improve your reading comprehension ability and enhance your writing skills through short and extended response type answers, including creative writing skills.
