About Eleni
I have over five years of tutoring experience, including English and Drama GCSE and A Level, as well as 11+ English and Maths. Through this work, I have developed strong skills in building foundational literacy and numeracy skills and adapting lessons to suit individual learners.
I hold a BA in Drama and Theatre Arts from the University of Birmingham and a Master's in Acting from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. My training has given me excellent communication skills and a creative, engaging approach to teaching, helping students build confidence and enjoy learning.
More recently, I have worked with younger children and as a Teaching Assistant in an SEN school. This experience has strengthened my ability to support children who need extra encouragement, memory strategies, and a patient, structured approach to learning. I am confident supporting students who may freeze, forget information, or lack confidence in their abilities.
I would love the opportunity to help my students strengthen their English skills, develop greater independence, and build confidence as they settle into the English curriculum.

My ultimate aim is to ensure my students feel as prepared as they can for their upcoming exams but most importantly, they should feel confident in their abilities. I do this by setting goals with my students - not just graded goals but academic skills-based goals i.e. reading, analysing, essay structure etc. I tailor my lessons to the student’s specific needs and together we find ways they can improve. English and Drama have some really useful transferable skills that are built from an early age and I would love to help you on your journey to building them!
