I split my lessons into categories that focus on different aspects of English Literature, for example one lesson could be exploring themes and character, another on essay writing, another on critical analysis, wider reading, comparing texts... However, while I will have structured lesson I would always like to ask the students what it is they feel they need extra help with and want to focus on.
I have just finished my A-levels and am looking for some work in private tutoring. I have an A grade in English Literature and an A at GCSE in both Literature and Language. I would love to teach English to some new students as I have a great passion for the subject and I believe this is beneficial when teaching as it allows students to engage more with the content.
If I have to travel more than 15 miles for the lesson I would kindly ask for a £5 fee for travel expenses.
