About Laurin

I have a Bachelor’s degree from Emory University. I have a Master’s degree from Appalachian State University because I’m an English junkie and didn’t want to adult after college. I’ve taught in universities, colleges, and high schools for twenty years and haven’t been fired yet! I’m an expert in British literature, American Literature, and writing. I write sonnets in my spare time and will have the novel I’m working on finished in a few short weeks. When I’m not tutoring, I play video games (Witcher rules!), watch horror movies (the call is coming from INSIDE the house), or fly fish in my beautiful home of Western North Carolina.

About the lesson

If you’re ready to make excellent grades in high school or college English and laugh a great deal while doing it, you’ve come to the right lady. If you are taking summer school and writing essays through your tears, I’m here to help. If you don’t understand why Gatsby is obsessed with that green light (get another hobby, Gatsby) ,then hang out with me for a while; I’ll teach you all the secrets to passing English with ease. These are the secrets English teachers don’t want you to know! I’ve helped students graduate with honors, write graduation speeches that rocked the house, and power through tough classes with no sweat. I even helped a student earn a $500,000 scholarship! And now I’m offering to help YOU! What are you waiting for? Sign up now!
