About Julia
I'm a writer, substitute high school teacher, and painter.
Tutoring English and literacy since I was a high school exchange student in Japan, I've worked with more than 100 students of all ages.
I have an MFA in Film and Painting, and I'm in the middle finishing a teaching certification.

I teach the individual, with the Constructivist idea that the student isn't a blank state. It's the teacher's job to help the student understand what they already know, learn what needs to be acquired, and help the student be able to articulate their own learning needs.
