About Amie
With my years of experience, I have learned better methods each year. I have evolved from term papers and standard 5 paragraph essays. I believe debate and discussion aids students in their ability to reason…even with parents or coaches. Students need to know how important providing evidence and facts and not just opinion will benefit them in their daily lives.

Discussion and journaling are my primary teaching techniques. I believe that through honest discussion students can gain understanding of literature. Through journaling, thoughts are ‘on paper’ and then editing can occur. Students must feel confidence with their skills in order to move forward. I coach confidence.
