About Angie
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Toronto and I have a TESOL certificate. I taught English in Korea for 2 years and had an opportunity to help Korean students excel at English. I have experience teaching beginner to advanced English levels and I am passionate about interacting with people from many different backgrounds and learning about their cultures. My students range from university students to professionals from many different fields. I have taught business English, led topic discussions, and helped students develop speaking, writing, and reading skills. I evaluated assignments such as in-class work and essays and made sure to tailor assignments and activities to meet the learning needs of individual students.

I help create a positive learning environment to help students improve their reading and conversational skills by encouraging students to practice pronunciation and speaking. By having topic discussions with various themes that are enjoyable and fun, I make sure the classes are interesting and engaging so students are motivated to study and practice. Depending on a student’s needs and goals, I customize course materials, readings and discussion topics that students are looking forward to discussing and learning about so they can apply it in their daily lives!
