About Shayan

I’m Shayan, an English teacher with over 5 years of teaching and tutoring experience.

Over the years, I’ve had the chance to work with students of different ages, backgrounds, personalities, and English levels. This has taught me something I really believe in: every student learns differently, and good teaching starts with understanding the person sitting in front of you.

I’m a patient, friendly, and supportive teacher, and I always try to create an atmosphere where you can speak freely and feel comfortable making mistakes. I know that sometimes the hardest part of learning a language isn’t understanding the grammar—it’s finding the confidence to actually use it. That’s something I pay a lot of attention to in my lessons.

I have completed professional teacher training (TTC) and have experience helping learners develop their speaking, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, listening, and overall communication skills. I also have experience working with both beginners who need plenty of guidance and more advanced students who want to become more natural and confident in English.

I genuinely enjoy teaching and getting to know my students. I don’t see a lesson as simply going through a textbook and finishing a list of exercises. I want to understand your goals, your difficulties, and the kind of English you actually need in your everyday life.

So whether you’re starting from the beginning, trying to improve your conversation skills, preparing for an exam, traveling, studying, working, or simply wanting to feel more confident when speaking English, I’d be very happy to help you.

My goal is simple: to make English feel less stressful, more natural, and something you can genuinely enjoy learning.

About the lesson

My lessons are relaxed, friendly, and built around you. I don’t believe that learning English should feel like memorizing endless grammar rules or sitting quietly while a teacher does all the talking. I want you to actually use English, feel comfortable making mistakes, and gradually become more confident expressing yourself.

I have over 5 years of experience teaching English to students with different ages, personalities, goals, and levels. Over time, I’ve learned that there isn’t one teaching method that works for everyone, so I adapt each lesson to the person I’m teaching.

In our lessons, we’ll work with a combination of conversation, practical situations, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, listening, and interactive activities. I often use real-life dialogues, role-plays, questions, discussions, and carefully chosen exercises so that what you learn is something you can actually use outside the lesson.

A typical lesson depends on your level and goals, but we’ll usually start with some conversation to get you speaking from the very beginning. Then we’ll work on the main topic of the lesson, practice new language together, and finish by reviewing what you’ve learned. If you have a specific goal—such as improving your speaking, preparing for an exam, traveling, studying, working, or simply becoming more confident in English—we can shape the lessons around that.

I also care a lot about creating a comfortable atmosphere. You don’t need to worry about making mistakes with me. Mistakes are a normal and important part of learning, and I’ll help you understand how to improve without making you feel uncomfortable or judged.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, an intermediate learner, or already have a good level of English and simply want to become more fluent, I’ll meet you where you are and help you move forward step by step.

Most importantly, I want you to leave each lesson feeling that you’ve genuinely learned something, used English, and made progress.
