About Catherine
I earned my bachelor's degree in English language from the University of South Carolina- Upstate. I love reading and writing. Classic literature, American modernism, and creative writing are a few of my favorite subjects. I have written two books and continue to work on more every day. I am a substitute teacher for work and enjoy tutoring in my spare time. Sharing my passion for literature brings me so much joy. It takes a special connection to books to appreciate them for the art and magic they can create in a person's life, and I think more people should get that chance.

I structure my lessons based on the individual needs of the students and take the time to ensure proper understanding. I think it's important to truly process the information being learned rather than just memorizing the material.
I have my bachelor's degree and have taught all grades K-12.
I can teach basic phonetics and structures of reading or complex writing techniques to advanced students.
The most important aspect is getting the students to engage with the material and find a connection that helps motivate them.
