About Evan
I am a former graduate of Shenandoah University's BFA Musical Theatre program, but I have spent most of my professional career working with children of all ages. After acquiring my ESL certification and teaching English comprehension and composition in Japan, I began working towards my MAT in Secondary English Education.

Teaching is most effective when a student is engaged, and I have seen the positive results of compelling subject material on student performance. I am a strong advocate in allowing students to pursue their passions through different avenues within the classroom, and use their interests as a jumping point in order to branch out into English areas of study.
