About Rohan

Hello! My name is Rohan Weir, and I am an English teacher-in-training at Shortwood Teachers' College in Jamaica. I am passionate about language, literature and helping students discover that learning English can be both enjoyable and rewarding.

Throughout my teacher training and classroom practicum, I have gained experience planning and delivering lessons that encourage participation, critical thinking and confidence. I believe every student has the ability to succeed when they are taught with patience, encouragement and methods that suit their individual learning style.

I enjoy helping students improve their grammar, reading, writing and literary analysis while creating a relaxed and supportive learning environment where questions are always welcome. Whether you need help preparing for an examination, strengthening your English skills or building confidence in the subject, I am committed to helping you reach your goals.

As someone who is continuously learning and growing as an educator, I strive to make every lesson engaging, practical and meaningful. I look forward to supporting you on your learning journey and celebrating your progress every step of the way.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to be interactive, engaging and tailored to each student's learning needs. As an English teacher-in-training at Shortwood Teachers' College with classroom teaching experience from my practicum, I understand that every student learns differently. My goal is to build confidence while helping students develop strong communication, reading and writing skills.

I teach English Language, Grammar, Reading, Literacy and English Literature. During lessons, I explain concepts clearly, provide guided practice, encourage discussion and use examples that students can relate to. I also give constructive feedback and practical tips to help students improve steadily.

Whether you are preparing for school examinations, improving your grammar, strengthening your reading comprehension, developing your essay-writing skills or simply looking to become a more confident English speaker and writer, my lessons are adapted to your goals and pace.

My classes are suitable for primary, secondary (middle and high school) and college students, as well as adult learners who want to improve their English in a supportive and encouraging environment. I believe learning should be enjoyable, practical and focused on helping every student reach their full potential
