About Matema
Hello everyone! My name is Matema, and I am so excited to be your English teacher. I am someone who believes that learning should be enjoyable, interactive, and meaningful.
I became interested in teaching because I love helping people understand things, grow in confidence, and discover what they are capable of. English is more than just a school subject—it is a powerful tool that allows us to communicate, express our ideas, tell our stories, and connect with people from different backgrounds.
As your teacher, I want to create a classroom where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning from them. I want us to learn through conversations, stories, activities, and real-life situations rather than simply memorising information.
My goal is for every student to leave my lessons feeling more confident than when they walked in. I am not here only to teach you English; I am here to help you find your voice and bel

My English lessons are unique because I believe learning English should be more than memorising grammar rules and vocabulary, it should be an experience that builds confidence, creativity, and a love for communication.
In my classroom, students will not be afraid of making mistakes. I will create a safe and interactive environment where every learner feels comfortable speaking, asking questions, sharing ideas, and expressing themselves. We will use conversations, stories, games, debates, real-life situations, and creative activities to make English practical and enjoyable.
I will also connect lessons to my students’ everyday lives, interests, cultures, and experiences. My goal is not only to teach students how to speak and write English, but to help them find their own voice.
