About Kara
I started my teaching career when I lived in China from 2008 through 2011. Then, after moving back to the US, I began online teaching through VIPKID for years. However, when changes happened in China causing a closure of online teaching, I began teaching for BookNook in 2020. I love teaching my students and engaging them in the lessons and listening to how their days are going, and playing learning games. I lived in China for almost 5 yrs, then moved to PA and got married to the man I dated in China, who is from Cameroon. We have 2 kids. I teach my own children. I love animals and reading.

I like to have fun while teaching; meaning all my lessons keep the students engaged and interested. We play learning games and read interactive stories. See how many cookies or snowflakes you can earn with every activity. At Christmas you get to decorate a christmas tree with the ornaments you win. Each holiday has a fun new activity. I'll listen to you and help in whatever way I can.
