About Karissa
I am a current high school English teacher. My degree is from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The students I have at work regard my class as being a place where they learn a lot, but still have a lot of fun. I have also tutored students before, all the way from 4th grade to freshman year of college.

I take a very hands on approach in my teaching style. I have very high expectations and standards, but will use care and evidence based practices to get my students to the goals they should achieve. I am a current English teacher for high school students, but have tutored from 4th grade- freshmen in college before.
