About Diane
I have been teaching English for more than 10 years. At the moment I work as a property agent in George, South Africa and teach online in my spare time. I have also had the wonderful opportunity to teach students in China, children as well as adults. I was also a teacher manager for English First and was in charge of many teachers. My goals are to help students practice their English and what they have learnt and to help them gain the confidence they need. One major part of learning a language is having the opportunity to speak and practice with a professional teacher. I make my students feel comfortable and motivate them to push themselves. They always feel like they have made progress after my classes.

I base my classes on firstly what the student has been learning recently, using this to ingrain the learning into the student. I correct the student when necessary and at the end of each lesson, go over mistakes and give them a fun exercise to do in their own time to help them remember this. We normally talk about topics that the student would wish to talk about as well. My students get to know me well and always have the freedom to ask any question they have. I also look at grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and so on, and focus on the areas that the student needs to improve in.
