About Patty
In my 30 years of teaching, I have never met a student who could not be successful. Learning is a journey, and I try to make that journey as fun as possible. Every student is unique, and their tutoring should be unique to them too. I have taught middle school and high school English. I have tutored Middle School, High School as well as college level English.

Available Tutoring/Lessons: Grades 6-12 English and Language Arts My teaching style is not didactic. I prefer to make assignments as relevant to the real world as possible so that students see the need/usefulness of the content they are learning. Each student learns in a unique way. As a teacher, I meet each student where they are academically, and then form a plan for us to move together toward their goals. Lesson plans will depend on what the student wishes to accomplish. It may be a formal lesson plan format if we are working on a specific skill, or we may work through an assignment that a student asks for assistance with-
