About Conor
I'm currently a postgraduate researcher in English at Trinity College Dublin. I've worked as an English Literature tutor before, and I'm a native speaker of English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese Hokkien.
I'm patient, structured, and genuinely enjoy helping students find their own voice on the page — whether that's building confidence with essay structure, working through a set text, or just becoming a stronger, more comfortable writer.

My lessons are built around what you're working on, not a fixed syllabus: Leaving Cert English (Higher or Ordinary Level), university essay writing, literary analysis, or personal statements for competitive applications. I focus on close reading, structuring an argument clearly, and editing your own writing rather than mine — the goal is that you leave each session a stronger writer, not just with a better essay. First lessons are used to figure out exactly where you're getting stuck and build a plan from there.
